Peter GrossPeter has made a life in cheese. After working for Kraft Foods in production, sales and marketing roles for 13 years he joined the fledgling King Island in the late 1980s. There he developed the South Cape brand which is today turning over $30 million in sales and he took King Island into retail stores right across the country making it the most successful and biggest specialty cheese brand in Australia.
During his career Peter has done everything from milking the cows, making the cheese through to marketing and selling it. He has conducted cheese education nights right around Australia for more than 20 years. During much of this time Peter was trying to convince brewers and the public of the joys of beer and cheese matching and it is only now he has found someone with the same passion to spread the good word about great cheese…and beer.
